Delete your account
How to have your Workfence account and the personal data attached to it deleted — and, just as importantly, what stays behind and why.
How to request deletion
Email hello@borncreative.in from the address you sign in with, and put “Delete my account” in the subject line. Name the company you work for, so the right record can be found.
A request is acknowledged within seven days and completed within thirty. If anything delays it, you will be told, and told when it will be done.
There is no delete button inside the Workfence app. An account belongs to a company workspace rather than to one person, so a deletion is checked with that company before it is carried out. That is a deliberate choice rather than an omission: one person quietly removing themselves from a shared attendance record would break the record for everyone else on the site.
Who to ask first
Your employer controls your Workfence data; Workfence holds it on their instruction. For access to your records, a correction, or your access closed today, the quickest route is your company administrator, who can revoke it from the Team screen straight away.
Write to Workfence directly if your employer cannot be reached, if you no longer work there, or if you would rather not go through them. They will be contacted for you.
What is deleted
Your account and the personal details attached to it: your name, the email address or mobile number your company added you with, your profile photograph, your designation and department, and your means of signing in.
The check-in and checkout selfies taken on your device. The positions recorded during your shifts and the travel sessions logged against you. The work updates, photographs and voice notes you submitted.
Your enrolled face template, if your company uses face verification, is worth naming separately. It is a set of numbers rather than a photograph, held on the phone that captured it and never sent to Workfence, so it goes when the enrolment is deleted or the app is removed from that device.
What is kept, and for how long
Attendance and payroll records. The days and hours you worked, and what you were paid for them, stay with your employer for as long as their payroll and statutory obligations require. These are the company's employment records rather than Workfence's to erase on request — in the same way a signed timesheet or a payslip does not disappear when somebody leaves a job. They stay under your name: a payroll record that cannot be tied to a person is not a payroll record.
Location points are purged automatically on the schedule your company sets, with a ninety-day default, whether or not anybody asks.
Audit entries recording that an account was created, revoked or deleted are kept. A log that can be edited to remove its own entries is not a log.
If the employment records themselves need to go, that request has to reach your employer. They decide what their obligations allow, and Workfence acts on their instruction.
Belonging to more than one company
One Workfence account can hold memberships in several companies. Deleting your membership of one leaves the others untouched. Say which company you mean, or say “all of them” — nothing will be guessed.

This describes how the product actually behaves. It is not legal advice, and the agreement your company signed takes precedence where they differ.
